The foundational concepts of Derek’s practice came from his upbringing with the Eastern Catholic Church, the Taino Nacíon and his long apprenticeship in the practice of NeuroCranial Restructuring which is a form of Chirothesia (laying on of the hands) developed by his father Dr. Dean Howell, ND. This type of work is a modern scientific advancement on ancient monastic and tribal practices and goes above and beyond all other present ideologies in the field. It involves the precise manipulation of bones, joints, connective tissues, nerves, vessels and musculature. Chirothesia has been known to improve misalignments, inefficiencies, and dysfunctions of the physical, mental and spiritual bodies of the sick, lame, poor and needy for thousands of years. Derek has been indoctrinated concurrently from shortly after his birth. He finally was ordained by the Sacred Catholic Church of the East as a Priest and Deacon. He is a Knight for the Knights of Hope. He is a Sanctified Healer certified by the Sacred Medical Order and is honored as a Doctor of Indigenous Medicines by the Borikén Nacíon. He continues to practice even to this day in the Southern California region and worldwide.
